Freedom is a funny thing. We have it drilled into us that from birth there are things that we need to do; society’s regulations. If we don’t fit this mould, people have no hope in you – it’s as though our worth is in our achievements that can be put on paper. What about everything else? I’ve recently decided to move home for the final year of University (because I can finish it anywhere) and I’m constantly questioning my decision. I know what I want to do, and what my plan is; but it doesn’t stop the what ifs from sneaking in. These what ifs, however, aren’t my own.
This isn’t meant to be a negative ramble though. Doubt from others just adds fuel to the fire in my opinion; a motivation to exceed anyones expectations. What I love to think about though, with not only this decision but in life; is that we can do whatever we want. If you want to quit everything, save up and runaway – it’s your choice. Sometimes it’s hard to see beyond what is expected of us, but when you do it can make the world seem a much bigger place. There is so much left to explore and we shouldn’t be limited, before our lives have even started.
