This outfit speaks a tale of world adventure. Joking, but every piece I’m wearing has some kind of sentimental value since they all came with me (sans shoes). I picked up the jeans in an awesome vintage chain store called Episode in Amsterdam. Possibly the best buy considering the fit since vintage Levi’s tend to be hit or miss. I scored the last one of this tee in the Brandy Melville in Florence. I kid you not when I say these pieces are the only ones I can stand after travelling – everything else that came with me has been put into storage. Even though I had nice clothes with me and have washed them, they all feel like a sweaty traveller struggling to lift her pack AKA me the entire way.
I’ve really jumped on the ‘man repeller’ train and bought myself a pair of suede block heels. I actually bought these while I was travelling but accidentally got them sent home, so I’ve finally been able to get some wear out of them. The obsession started with Maryam Nassir Zadeh flat heels on Instagram. Then, while I was away I kept seeing the COS suede heels in their window display but they were too much for my sad traveller budget. Luckily for my wallet, these popped up on ASOS and I snagged them on sale – so cheap right now if you like them and they come in so many different colours. Very easy to walk in too!
Speaking of pieces travelling – maybe it’s my new found maturity (kidding, that’s definitely not a thing) that has made me reach for gold over silver nowadays. I think it can dress up an outfit a lot classier than silver, especially one with little colour. These earrings were possibly the best investment I made in 2016. They’ve came all over the world with me and I’m still reaching for them every time I go out. Gold statement earrings for the win!
